We take confidentiality very seriously, and our staff always maintains it at the highest level. Remember, they have a challenging job, and if they ask for more details, it’s to help the doctor understand how urgent your request is.

- Minor Injuries & Wound Care: Treatment of minor injuries, dressing changes, suture and staple removal, and expert leg ulcer management.
- Respiratory Support: Asthma reviews, inhaler technique guidance, and annual check-ups.
- Cardiac Care: Advice and annual reviews for coronary heart disease management.
- Women’s Health: Confidential contraception consultations, including emergency contraception, cervical smears, well-woman screenings, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) monitoring.
- Diabetes Management: Comprehensive support, lifestyle advice, and annual reviews.
- Travel Health: Vaccinations and travel advice for adults and children—please book early to ensure full protection before your trip.
- Health Monitoring: Blood pressure checks, lifestyle and dietary advice, weight management, and smoking cessation support.
- Diagnostic Services: ECGs, spirometry lung function tests (GP referral required), and general health screenings.
- Immunisations: Routine vaccinations for babies, children, and adults.

She can see adults with various minor illnesses. Since she is an advanced nurse practitioner, she can issue a prescription if necessary after your appointment. Christina specialises in Diabetes care and management within the surgery.

Healthcare assistants help practice nurses with their daily tasks. They do things like drawing blood, measuring blood pressure, wound care and checking new patients. They can also act as a chaperone if a patient or doctor requests one.
Community Team

You can contact the midwife by visiting the antenatal clinic or calling St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, IW, at 01983 524081. There should also be contact numbers in your personal maternity notes.
Community Nurses
You can contact the nurses through the surgery. They have special training in caring for people at home. They can also provide advice on allowances and arrange home help, such as tucking-in services, day and night sitters, home aids, and chiropody
Health Visitors
A health visitor is a registered nurse with special training for working with babies, children, and pregnant women. Their role is to support families with children under five by offering advice on mental, physical, and social wellbeing.
